Jiang Nan’s happy hour might be one of the most underrated in the area; the value is insane!! Their happy hour is every Monday through Thursday from 3pm-6pm! Every plate is super generous, full of flavor, and honestly feels like you’re getting full entrée portions for happy hour prices. We tried everything on their happy hour menu, but the standouts were the chili oil dumplings (soft, spicy, and so comforting), the black truffle crispy tofu (light, aromatic, and perfectly fried), and the blueberry General Tso’s chicken (a fun twist that actually works and tastes incredible). I also was obsessed with their green beans! To sip, the lychee martini is a must. It is refreshing, subtly sweet, and pairs perfectly with all the savory dishes. For $9 it is a true steal as well! If you need a spot for an after-work hangout or a fun meet-up with friends, this is such a good option. You can share a ton of dishes, try new flavors, and walk out feeling full and happy without dropping a crazy amount. Highly recommend adding this one to your happy hour rotation; you surely won't be disappointed!

Went here for dinner after seeing it on TikTok. We ordered the steamed pork and crab meat soup dumplings, vegetable spring rolls and steamed lotus roots stuffed with sticky rice for appetizers. My friend said they were known for their dumplings and he could see why. He said they were delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were tasty. We never had lotus roots and wanted to try it. It was a fail. It was cold and not tasty at all. We had to send it back. For entrees we had the deep fried tofu with black truffle, 1/2 peking duck and vegetable fried rice. The deep fried tofu didn’t have much flavor by itself. The vegetable fried rice on the other hand was delicious. I paired the two together and added a little dumpling sauce and it was tasty. My friend loved the peking duck. He preferred it with the pineapple and sauce in a wrap. Our waitress Ying was super sweet and really helpful. She made sure my tofu wasn’t coated with egg since I’m vegan. The ambiance of this place is really nice. We saw two different delivery people take out their cameras and take videos. Overall it was a good experience.

Had the most amazing experience here! Was hosted for an event, and the food was top tier. This is the best elevated Chinese food I’ve ever had. They have unique dishes such as blueberry general tso’s! You can tell they use top quality ingredients as well. Service was fantastic, and the decor and ambiance is elevated and beautiful. Highly recommend- I think this is the best Chinese cuisine in Chinatown/philly! They serve alcohol as well!

Probably one of the best Peking ducks in the city! This place perfectly captures what a modern Chinese restaurant should look and feel like. Every dish we had was authentic and delicious. The Potpourri Milk was an absolute standout, easily the most delicious dessert rice wine I’ve ever had.

This is the best crispy eel I’ve ever had, hands down. And the duck was so juicy, beautiful presentation. I’m going here for my next anniversary :)

Jiang nan is always my go-to option when I don't know where to eat. And whenever I'm here, I always order peking duck. It's probably not the best pecking duck out there but is pretty solid. I discover that this salted egg shrimp is soo good! Each shrimp is big and has a crunchy shell covered in delicious salted egg sauce. The veggie is also good with the bean curd seasoning. I would not order dan dan noodle again because it is pretty bland.

I usually come here with my boyfriend for the peking duck! Yesterday was the third or fourth time we’ve been, and our duck had gold flakes on it! (Unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were both starving and immediately dug in). The eggplant with garlic sauce is delicious! Its one of my favorites. And we decided to get a little bold and try the fried bullfrog! It was delicious, and it was slightly spicy in a pleasing way! It almost reminded me of spicy popcorn chicken. I recommend it!
